PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove the sharp corner of a part to be cut by a method wherein, at least on the front surface part of an upper blade of a nail clipper, a file surface to remove the upper corner part of a nail is formed. SOLUTION: An upper blade 5 is located approx. 0.04mm behind from a lower blade 2, and on the front surface part of the upper blade 5, a file surface 9 is formed. The file surface 9 is a surface being equipped with a rough surface of a degree of $300 paper file or so, and is formed into a width of approx. 1.5mm. A honing surface on the rear surface, is formed into a width of approx. 0.2mm, and a tilting angleαis formed into approx. 30 deg.. By depressing the rear part of an operating plate 8 of a nail clipper 1, an upper plate 7 is depressed to a base plate 4 by a reaction of lever with a base shaft 3 and the upper surface of the upper plate 7 as fulcrums A, B, and a nail T is cut by the upper blade 5 and the lower blade 2. In this case, while the nail T is cut by the upper blade 5 and the lower blade 2, by the file surface 9 of the upper blade 5, a sharp part at the corner of the cutting surface is removed also, and even when the sharp part comes into contact with a skin, the skin is not damaged and safe.
