The invention relates to a data storage card with magnetic recording areas, where a first magnetic recording area is intended for reading/writing in an ordinary card reading/writing device. A second magnetic recording area is intended for reading/writing in a disc drive. An adapter (4) in the form of an ordinary diskette is used to accept the data storage and the adapter with the data storage card is inserted in a disc drive. The adapter (4) converts the driving motion of the disc drive into a to and fro movement of the data storage card and thus moves its second magnetic recording area past a read/write head in the disc drive. |
