摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device which can dispense with a center hole, and position a trunnion shaft with excellent accuracy. SOLUTION: A pair of claws 11a, 11b are fitted to a front surface of a chuck body 2 connected to a main spindle 1 to form a V-groove 12 in which a trunnion shaft (b) of a trunnion A is engaged with the jaws 11a, 11b. An aligning seat 14 is formed on a tip of a tail stock spindle 13 arranged on the axis of the main spindle 1. The trunnion shaft (b) of the trunnion A is engaged with the V-groove 12 of a pair of jaws 11a, 11b the tail stock spindle 13 is moved toward the chuck body 2, and a spherical tip surface (c) of the trunnion shaft (b) extending in the axial direction of the main spindle 1 is pressed by the aligning seat 14 to position the trunnion shaft (b).
