PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water soluble lubricant having sterilizing power on microorganisms, especially microspores and spore-forming bacteria such as bacteria of genus Bacillus which have been difficult to be sterilized, hardly losing chlorine as an active ingredient for sterilizing action during preservation, and an aqueous lubricant for a belt conveyor. SOLUTION: (1) This aqueous lubricant comprises 1-10wt.% based on the total amount of a chlorite and 2-7 wt.% of a caustic alkali and has pH12-14. (2) The aqueous lubricant comprises 5-15wt.% based on the total amount of a fatty acid alkali metal salt and/or a 14-18C unsaturated fatty acid alkali metal salt, 1-5wt.% of a fatty acid alkanolamide, 1-5wt.% of a 3-6C low molecular-weight glycol, 2-7wt.% of a caustic alkali and 90-58wt.% of water. (3) This aqueous lubricant for a belt conveyor is obtained by diluting the aqueous lubricant with water by 100-500 volume times. |
