摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new regulatory substance AA-IO4 for plant physiology which is obtained by hydrolyzing AF-1 formed by cultivation of a microorganism belonging to Acremonium, possesses a regulatory activity for plant physiology without occurrence of resistance and is useful as a biodegradable plant regulator or the like. SOLUTION: This substance is a new regulatory substance AA-IO4 for plant physiology of the formula which possesses a regulatory activity for plant physiology and is useful as a plant regulator or the like without occurrence of resistance. This new regulatory substance for plant physiology is obtained by treating AF-1, which is formed by culturing a microorganism [e.g. Acremonium roseum I 4267 (FERM P-10832) or the like] belonging to Acremonium in a medium, and oxidatively cleaving one of two epoxides in the molecule of AF-1 with periodic acid.
