PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the power loss by forming a rectifier of a diode, a rectifying control element and a mixture bridge, and controlling the gate of the rectifying control element at the time of non-load so as to prevent a rise of voltage, and opening the gate of the control element full when the load current at the critical value or more is detected. SOLUTION: A transforming station for feeding for direct current electric railway is provided with a mixture bridge rectifier 1 formed by bridging a diode D and a rectifying control element Ty for connection, a transformer 2 and a dummy load 3 or the like. Gate of the control rectifying element Ty is controlled at the time of non-load, and when the load current at the critical current or more is detected, control phase of the gate is advanced full so as to have the same function with a usual diode. On the other hand, when the load current exceeds the critical current value, a non-load time voltage setting unit 42 is formed with a short-circuit by turning on a switch 46, and a phase control circuit 43 is controlled on the basis of the set value of a gate full open setting unit 41, and the gate phase is advanced full so as to have the same function with the diode. |
