<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water repellency-treated material which comprises the substrate, the water-repellent layer, and a specific area between them, has a light weight, a thin and uniform coating layer and is useful in fishing rods and golf clubs. SOLUTION: This material is provided with a substrate 1 such as a polyamide resin and a water-repellent layer 4 made of a fluorine resin containing an organosilicon compound and an area 3 constituted with chemical bonds with a thickness of <=1μm is formed between the substrate 1 and the water-repellent layer 4. Preferably, an intermediate layer 2 containing a silicon oxide is formed between the substrate 1 and the water-repellent layer 4. In addition, this material is provided with a tubular body and a water-repellent layer 4 formed on the tubular body and an area constituted with chemical bonds of <=1μm thickness is formed between the substrate 1 and the water-repellent layer to prepare a fishing rod.</p> |
