<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a club head of a metal wood having such a structure which prevents the extreme decrease of the carry of a golf ball even if the ball fitting point of the face exist in any position in a vertical direction. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 is composed of a hollow head body 5 having an aperture 3 atop the body and a crown plate 7. The crown plate 7 is so formed as to have nearly the same shape as the shape of the aperture 3 and the outer periphery end of the crown plate 7 is provided with an annular recessed pat 23. A spherical projecting part 25 curving smoothly is constituted on the inner side of the recessed part 23. The head is provide with a short mounting annular part 27 on the outer en side of the annular recessed part 23. The mounting annular part 27 is housed into the recess of the opening edge 29 of the head body 5 and is welded thereto.</p> |
