<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for electrolytically producing highpurity copper (contg. 99.998wt.% copper) directly from a copper electrolyte. SOLUTION: High-purity copper is electrolytically produced from a sulfuric acid-acidified copper electrolyte obtained after copper is electrolytically refined by the use of a copper anode. In this case, the electrolytic copper is obtained from a sulfuric acid-acidified copper electrolyte contg. >=25g/L copper with use of an insoluble anode formed by coating a metallic substrate with a noble metal oxide. A titanium sheet coated with iridium oxide is preferably used for the insoluble anode, and the electrolyte is preferably allowed to flow parallel with the anode and cathode.</p> |
