The invention comprises a mobile unit (1), geared to being able to execute a motion along two parallel or, in any event, substantially parallel orientated railway rails (2, 2'), and provided with first means (10) in order to be able to fix each of the cross-ties (3) to inferior flanges for the said railway rails (2, 2') with the aid of resilient fastening members. Second means (20) is intended to be able to clamp a cross-tie (3'), which is located beneath the unit and is loosely orientated beneath the railway rails (2, 2'), and to lift it into or almost into bearing contact against the inferior flanges. Third means (30) is arranged such that it directs the said raised cross-tie (3') to a position relative to the said two railway rails which is geared to the cross-tie. The said second means (20) is arranged such that it can be moved along a transport device (20') with tracks (21, 21') and can be activated in the end positions. |
