PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of a shredder dust low in elution of a harmful substance, easy in treatment of the shredder dust containing a fine line and capable of using to other application such as building material without necessitating a waste disposal depending on the situation. SOLUTION: In the treating method of the shredder dust consisting of a remaining residual dross after recovering a main part of iron and a nonferrous metal after crushing a waste such as spent automobile and appliance with the shredder 10 and/or a collected dust generated in a treating process, either one kind or more than two kind carbonating agents or hydroxidizing agents are added to the shredder dust to generate a complex salt of a heavy metal incorporated in the shredder dust and to prevent a elution of the heavy metal.
