PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operating response by causing a switching operation to be performed based on a position shift function to check a shift between a tapered support which is engaged with the end part of a pipe member and a movable cubic body when the pipe member is finely adjusted by its contact with a human body, in a detecting device which detects the intrusion of any object such as a human body into the contact part of a printing press. SOLUTION: When a side near a tapered support part 2 for supporting one of the end sides of a pipe member 1 is pushed due to the contact of such a side with a human body, it is shifted along the tapered face of a tapered support 4, and consequently, the other end side of the pipe member 1 moves a movable cubic body 6 resisting the pressing force of a spring member 11. This action results in the displacement of an activator 10 for a switching means 9, from which, in turn, a detection signal is sent. On the other hand, if the detection supporting part 3 side of the pipe member 1 is pushed, the movable cubic body 6 is rapidly displaced along the guide pipe 8, and the detection signal is sent from the switching means 9, although the end part of the tapered support 4 side is slightly shifted. |
