PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the security of a recording image in a thermal recording medium by providing the recording medium forming a plurality of different colors by heating the same part thereof at different temps. and recording the unit character and unit mark constituting specific data corresponding to the use of the recording medium in such a state that a plurality of different colors are admixed. SOLUTION: The first thermal recording layer 3 of a magnetic ticket 1 being a recording medium is developed black by first recording energy (first temp.) and the second thermal recording layer 4 thereof is developed red by second recording energy (second temp.) lower than the first recording energy. A CPU 10 reads data at every one line of character pattern data from a character generator 13 according to a character row designated on the basis of value data such as an amt. or the available period corresponding to the use of the magnetic ticket 1 in synchronous relation to a line clock to supply the same to a recording drive part 21. A current supply time is supplied to a thermal head 15 from the recording drive part 21 to record an image wherein black and red are admixed at every two lines.
