PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning device capable of efficiently eliminating an NO component in the air and to provide a control method. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst filter 32 is irradiated with relatively weak U.V. from an U.V. lamp 58 and also air is transferred under pressure with a turbofan 42 and the NO is adsorbed with the photocatalyst filter 32, and then the air eliminated with the NO is introduced into an automobile. When a surface coverage of the photocatalyst filter 32 is determined, the filter is irradiated with relatively strong U.V. rays and also an air blowing rate from the turbofan 42 is decreased, thus the temperature of the photocatalyst filter 32 is raised and then the NO is eliminated. Thus the NO can be eliminated for a long period by regenerating the photocatalyst filter 32 and using it repeatedly. |
