摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method, precisely measuring the number and the amount of metabolic activity of microorganism by measuring the fluorescence intensity after the addition and hybridization of a fluorescence labeling probe which specifically acts on the DNA and m-RNA synthesizing an enzyme concerning on a specific metabolism of a microorganism. SOLUTION: This method is to obtain the probe specifically acting on the sequence of the DNA and m-RNA synthesizing the enzyme concerning on the specific function of microorganism such as nitrous acid formation, nitric acid formation, reduction of nitric acid, reduction of nitrous acid, the function of storing phosphorus in polyphosphoric acid form, function of decomposing a hard to decompose substance, reduction of sulfuric acid, etc., label the probe with fluorescence, add the resulting DNA and m-RNA labeling probe to a sample to hybridize, and measure the fluorescence intensity. It is possible to precisely measure the number and the amount of metabolic activity of the microorganism having a specific metabolic activity by using this DNA and m-RNA labeling probe.
