摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic properties uniform in a coil-width direction by controlling, in a roughing stage at the time of manufacture of silicon steel sheet, the plate thickness at the width-direction end of a sheet bar and the plate thickness in the width-direction central part so that they satisfy a specific relation. SOLUTION: A slab for silicon steel sheet, containing, by weight, <=0.1% C, <=4.5% Si, and <=2.5% Mn, is hot rolled. In the roughing stage of this hot rolling, plate thickness is controlled so that the plate thickness tE at the width- direction end of a sheet bar and the plate thickness tC in the width-direction central part satisfy the relation of inequality 50>=tE-tC>=1mm. The sheet bar after roughing is coiled. Then, finish rolling is performed while applying uncoiling, and cold rolling is carried out once or two or more times, while applying process annealing between cold rolling stages, to final sheet thickness. Subsequently, primary recrystallization annealing or primary recrystallization annealing and secondary recrystallization annealing are applied, by which final magnetic properties are provided to a product.
