PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biaxially oriented polyester film having linear tearability at least in the longitudinal direction, and to obtain a packing bag using the same. SOLUTION: This film is produced from a raw material comprising (A) the melted mixture composition of a polyarylate/polyethylene terephthalate [20/80 to 40/60 (weight ratio)] and (PET) polyethylene terephthalate in an A/PET weight ratio of 70/30 to 20/80. The film has characteristics comprising a tensile strength of 20-35kgf/mm<2> , a dry thermal shrinkage degree of <=3% (160 deg.C×15min) and a haze of <=5%, and further has linear tearability at least in the longitudinal direction. |
