PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection while preventing cross talk to the utmost by forming a region elastically deformable by the ink flowing backward from an ink cavity to either one of the region opposed to the ink reservoir of a nozzle plate and the inner surface of the ink reservoir. SOLUTION: When the charge of a piezoelectric film 9 is discharged after the elapse of a predetermined time, the piezoelectric film 9 returns to the original state to compress an ink cavity 2 and a part of the ink of the ink cavity 2 is pressurized to be emitted as ink droplets from a nozzle orifice 14 to form dots on a recording medium and the other part thereof flows backward to an ink reservoir 4 from an ink supply port 3. The back flow ink raises the pressure of the ink reservoir 4 temporarily but the thin-walled part 13 of a compliance plate 11 is bent so as to protrude the recessed part side of a nozzle orifice plate 5 to expand the vol. of the ink reservoir 4 to lower pressure. As a result, printing is executed without generating cross talk. |
