PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a durable material of a conidium of a fungus of the genus Drechslera high in shelf stability at a normal temperature, useful for controlling barnyard grass, by dispersing the conidium of the fungus of the genus Drechslera as an active ingredient into specific powder. SOLUTION: This durable material is obtained by dispersing a conidium of a fungus (e.g. Drechslera monoceras) of the genus Drechslera into inorganic powder. Clay, talc, kaolin, bentonite, calcium carbonate, white carbon, zeolite, etc., may be cited as the inorganic powder. The density of the conidium of the fungus of the genus Drechslera is preferably <=5×10<8> conidiums/g. The durable material may be mixed with auxiliaries for adjusting water content and retaining activity, for example, a humectant such as glycerol, a coating agent such as carboxymethyl cellulose, a nutrient such as corn meal, etc. The water content of the durable material is preferably 2-20wt.%.
