PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the combustion control of a continuous type heating furnace for steel material in high accuracy without overheating. SOLUTION: A necessary lowest furnace temp. is calculated to each function temp. set objective steel material at each combustion zone and the max. value in these temps. is decided as the set furnace temp. Related to the steel material existing in the same combustion zone in the future, the steel material receiving the effect of the raising of furnace temp. higher than the necessary lowest furnace temp. of this steel material itself exists, and at the time of raising the furnace temp. by this reason, the necessary lowest furnace temp. is corrected to a lower temp. under consideration of the raising degree of this temp. The overheating is surely prevented, and while lowering the unit requirement of fuel, the combustion control at high accuracy is executed.
