PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent coating adhesion as well as to decrease the generation of dust with powdering of an abrasive in blasting. SOLUTION: An abrasive is made of a granular material of high carbon ferrochrome refined slug containing MgO in the range of 20 to 40 wt.%, Al2 O3 , in the range of 20 to 40 wt.%, SiO2 in the range of 25 to 45 wt.%, and CaO of 5 wt.%. In this case, the structure is composed of the mixed phase of glass in the range of 60 to 90 wt.%, a spinel in the range of 10 to 40 wt.%, and 20 wt.% or less forsterite. |
