<p>PURPOSE:To gradate and color each partitioned picture of the same picture independently and differently with each other by independently providing each looking up table (LUT) used in each partitioned picture when the picture is displayed under a partitioned state. CONSTITUTION:A picture memory 1 stores picture data. An LUT group 2 is equipped with (n) types [(n) is an integer, and (n) >= 2] of LUT1, LUT2,... LUTn, and each one type of LUT is selected independently in each partitioned picture by a selecting signal generating means 6. The picture data read from the picture memory 1 by this LUT are converted into display data and supplied to a display signal generating means 3, the display signal generating means 3 converts the data into an analog display signal, and the picture is displayed by supplying the converted analog display signal to an indicator 4 such as a CRT. In this manner, the LUT is used, which is independently selected for each partitioned picture out of the plural types of the quipped LUTs. Thus, each partitioned picture can be gradated and colored independently with each other for the same picture.</p> |
