The method entails recording sounds only or sound and vision inputs, transforming analogue inputs into digital form. Digital words are passed to an erasable memory for recording. The memory is arranged such that a continuous flow of incoming information is recorded, with the recording replacing old information. When an infringement event, such as a sound, is detected the recording is frozen at that point. The digital scene inputs are input in a short period.
