Closing arrangement for electrically operated cabinet door-locks

The arrangement involves a door (13) which is secured to a cabinet (14) by a lock with a pivoted latch (10) which is connected by spring (18) to the closed position where the latch hook engages with a door striker plate (12). The latch (10) also has a curved and angled surface (38) which enters the lower section of a push rod (35). The push rod (35) is pivoted (31) and spring loaded (36) such that when an electromagnet (7) opens the latch (10) the door striker plate (12) is pushed to the open position. When the door (14) is pushed closed the striker plate (12) moves the push rod (35) allowing the pivoted latch hook (10) to reengage the striker plate.
