The present invention relates to a device for holding a card that contains specific information and that has specific dimensions. The device includes a rectangular, or generally rectangular base plate, two raised first side edges that extend along the base plate, one on each long side thereof, and two raised second side edges that extend along the base plate, one on each short side thereof. The base plate has at least one through-penetrating aperture through which a carrying line can be passed with the intention of suspending the device around a holder unit, such as from a hook or around the neck of the person carrying the device. The aperture comprises a first and a second hole, of which the first hole has a cross-sectional area that is greater than the cross-sectional area of the carrying line and a through-penetrating slot that interconnects the holes and whose width is smaller than the diameter of the carrying line. |
