The controller (1) is positioned between a peripheral driving unit (2) which provides video programmes and a number of output video viewing screens (3). The controller has both clock control and a switching function which allows distribution and viewing of the images for a set period of time. This time period is authorised by the controller and can be varied. The peripheral unit can also be controlled to operate for predetermined time periods.
