PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing and preserving rice at a low cost for a long period without deteriorating the taste of the rice over a long period. SOLUTION: This method for preserving rice comprises charging the rice into a bag-like inner container 1 comprising a polyethylene sheet and having an opened hole at the upper part, receiving the inner container in an outer container 4 comprising a polypropylene sheet to form a double container 6, closing the hole of the inner container, adjusting the atmosphere in the inner container to a prescribed humidity through a valve connected to the inner container, closing the valve and subsequently storing the double container in an ice storage room at a temperature of 0-5 deg.C. |
