PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer layer forming device capable of stably forming a developer layer in a thin layer having a uniform thickness without occurrence of pass through of the developer even if the pressure applied to a developer carrier is small by the use of a nonmagnetic one-component development method. SOLUTION: A nipping part of a blade 28 and a developing roller 25 is set to include the edge part of the blade 28 which is located on the downstream side, when viewed in the rotation direction of arrow Y of the developing roller 25. Further, the distribution of the contact pressure of the nipping part applied onto toner 3 and the main surface of the developing roller 25 by the blade 28 through a holder 30 and a compression elastic member 29 can be maximum in the end part on the downstream side in the rotation direction of the developing roller 25. |
