PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the multiplex transmission system in which priority control of messages is attained without causing increase in traffic amt. of a network and deterioration in responsiveness even when a transmission frequency of multiplex transmitters is deviated on the occurrence of collision of the messages when the two multiplex transmitters send messages simultaneously. SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of multiplex transmitters is provided with a communication controller 11, a CPU 12 controlling it, a multiplex transmission line 100 and a bus interface device interfacing the multiplex transmission line 100 and the communication controller. On the occurrence of collision of a message sent by a multiplex transmitter n0 with other message sent simultaneously, a multiplex transmission 20 whose transmission of a message M20 is stopped due to defeat of contention according to priority, detects an edge of a priority bit in a priority area and conducts re-synchronization of a sampling point of the message M20 based on the edge.
