PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the diversity reception system by which a proper antenna is selected depending on a setting state of antennas. SOLUTION: The diversity reception system includes an antenna 1 whose setting is able to be changed through a telescopic operation or the like, an antenna 2 whose setting is unchanged, a selector switch 6 that selects either of the antennas and connects the selected antenna to a receiver main body 4, a detector 10 detecting the setting state of the antenna 1, a switch control section 12 controlling the operation of the selector switch 6 depending on the setting state of the antenna 1, and a power supply control section 14 controlling the supply of power to the antenna 1 depending on the setting state of the antenna 1. In this case, when the antenna 1 is set to the contained state in the case of deciding a branch before starting data reception, the antenna 2 is selected without throwing the selector switch 6 to the position of the antenna 1 and the supply of power to the antenna 1 is stopped to reduce the power consumption. |
