PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the burden of address input for obtaining desired information on a user by converting an address consisting of the character string of English letters, numbers, or symbols called a URL into a code consisting of numbers only. SOLUTION: The user operates an input device 11 such as a keyboard to supply the URL address (address consisting of the character string of English letters, numbers, or symbols called a URL) of a server which provides information to an address converting means 1. The address converting means 1 obtain the URL address inputted from the input device 11 by a URL address input means 12. Then it is supplied to an address code generating means 13, which makes a calculation from a previously built-in conversion equation (y=f(x), where (y) is the address code and (x) is the URL address) to generate the address code. The found address code is outputted to an output device 15 by an address code output means 14. |
