<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifying device for an automobile capable of purifying air while preventing contamination of an absorbent and its control method. SOLUTION: A pollution level inside of a car is lowered by judging whether an pollution level of air outside of the car is low or not (S44) at the time when a high pollution level of air inside of the car is detected (S14 is Yes), stopping a fan 40 (S26) when the pollution level outside of the car is low (S44 is Yes), preventing contamination of an absorbing filter 32 changing it over to outside air introduction (S48) and introducing air from the outside of the car. Thereafter, when the pollution level is lowered (S30 is Yes) by introduction of air outside of the car, the fan 40 is rotated, an ultraviolet ray is applied from a metal halide lamp 36 to the absorbing filter 32, and purification of air is started (S52, S54).</p> |
