PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agglomerate of polyamide particles mainly comprising minute spherical particles by dissolving polyamide in a water-sol. solvent contg. a metal salt dissolved therein and comprising a specific cation and a specific anion and dropping the resultant soln, into water. SOLUTION: A polyamide (e.g. nylon 6) is dissolved in a water-sol. org. solvent (e.g. methanol) contg. a metal salt dissolved therein and comprising an alkali or alkaline earth metal ion and an anion selected from among halide. prehalogenate, and thiocyanate ions, and the resultant soln, is poured into water under stirring. An example of the salt is calcium chloride. The obtd. agglomerate contains 90% or higher minute polyamide particles each having a major axis of 0.5μm or lower and a ratio of the minor axis to the major axis of 0.9 or higher and has an average major axis of 0.5μm or lower and an average ratio of the minor axis to the major axis of 0.9 or higher.
