PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated retainer for ball bearing to hardly cause the occurrence of seizure between a ball and a retainer and hold a lubricant for a long period and provide an increased life for a bearing. SOLUTION: Axially expanding ball holding parts 3 and flat parts 4 are formed at intervals of a specified distance in a peripheral direction at an annular holding plate 2 on one side of which a corrugated retainer for a ball bearing consists. Two partially spherical recessed parts 3a and 3a, partial parts 3b and 3b of two cylindrical conical bodies, and a spherical recessed part 3c are connected to a ball holding part 3. Two partial spherical recessed parts 3a and 3a may form a part of an oval. In this case, a ball 5 is rotated in a state to be supported by partial parts 3b and 3b of the cylindrical conical bodies but since it makes contact the inner peripheral surface of the vicinity of a position wherein a peripheral velocity during rotation is minimized, seizer hardly occurs. Further, spaces 12 and 13 between the ball 5 and the vicinities of the joining parts of the annular holding plates 2 form a lubricant reservoir, the holding state of the lubricant is extremely improved, and seizure resistance is remarkably improved. |
