PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent horn load from being changed by the fitting angle of a steering shaft by arranging a mass body including a horn plate for holding an air bag module assembly, in such a way that horn load acts almost equally upon upper and lower horn springs. SOLUTION: A mass body including an air bag module assembly 3 having an inflator serving as a gas generating means and the like and also a pad 5 covering the upper part of the inflator, and a horn plate 11 for holding the air bag module assembly 3 is provided in such a way as to be pushed in the axial direction of a steering shaft in relation to a wheel body 1. This mass body is supported on upper and lower horn springs 12A, 12B, but at this time it is so set that the center of gravity G of the mass body is positioned at a center point between the vertically spaced horn springs 12A, 12B as well as in the vicinity of a plane passing the action point of the upper and lower horn springs 12A, 12B to the horn plate 11. Necessary horn load is thereby made almost uniform in any position of a pad 5. |
