摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis adjusting method which is capable of simplifying a working stage for optical axis adjustment and shortening the working time and an optical axis adjusting device which is high in the accuracy of the optical axis adjustment and is simple in the work. SOLUTION: The method for adjusting the optical axes of an optical semiconductor module and an optical fiber has an X-Y rough adjusting stage for adjusting the optical fiber at every approximately 100μm in the two directions perpendicular to the optical axis and orthogonal with each other and an X-Y fine adjusting stage for adjusting the optical fiber at every approximately 10μm, an X-Y superfine adjusting stage for adjusting the optical fiber at every approximately 1μm and a Z adjusting stage for moving the optical semiconductor module by a prescribed quantity in the optical axis direction.
