<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method of displaying a prescribed color image in a visual sense independently of illumination light by eliminating the effect of chromaticity and luminance of each illumination light. SOLUTION: The chromaticity of an illumination light in existence in a space where a display device 3 is placed and a luminance ratio of the illumination light with the luminance of the display device 3 are measured. Then a moving rate of a white level 4 of the display device 3 in terms of a visual sense is decided by using the measured chromaticity and the luminance ratio of the illumination light. Then a new visual sensing white level of the display device 3 is obtained to eliminate the effect of the illumination light by using the decided moving rate. Then the white level of a color image displayed on the display device is moved to the new visual sensing white level. Then a color image constant in a visual sense is reproduced on the color display device even under any illumination light.</p> |
