PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the input-output voltage ratio without increasing the switches or capacitors of a charge pump for downsizing, by generating a variable pattern which controls the switch to switch the terminals of plural capacitors. SOLUTION: A switch is composed of n-type MOS transistors M1-7, and the output patternsϕ1-ϕ4 from a pattern generator are inputted into the gate electrodes of the MOS transistors. For the gate input of p-type MOS transistors, respective inverted patternsϕ1-ϕ4 are inputted. When 3.3V is inputted into an input terminal, the capacitor C1 is charged with 3.3V at the first step, and the capacitor C2 is charged to about 6.6V, the voltage generated by the series connection of the input voltage VIN and C1, at the second step. It is charged to about 13.2V, the voltage generated by the series connection of the input voltage VIN and the capacitors C1 and C2. Hereby, the semiconductor chip can be downsized.
