<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron golf club head having a gravitation center which is located at a position with which a satisfactory shot can be obtained. SOLUTION: A golf club head comprises a blade 12 having a flat face extending from a heel end and a toe for hitting a ball, a hosel 14 attaching the golf club head 10 to a shaft, and a junction 16 extending from the heel end of the blade face and connecting the blade to the hosel. The blade is formed therein with a blade cavity 22 extending from the heat to the toe and defined by the peripheral wall 24 of the blade while facing rearward, and the junction is formed therein with a junction cavity 28 widening, contiguous to the blade cavity, and defined by the peripheral wall 26 of the junction. Further, an inclined weight pad 30 may be provided in the blade cavity. Moreover, a lightening cut-out may be formed in the junction cavity.</p> |
