<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a water-base soln. compsn. contg. a carboxyalkylcellulose nitrate whereby the compsn. having a low viscosity and an improved resistance to coloration is obtd. in a short dissolution time. SOLUTION: An oxidation bleaching agent such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium hypochlorite is added in dissolving a carboxyalkylcellulose nitrate having a degree of substitution by nitric ester groups of 0.2 or higher and a degree of substitution by carboxyalkyl ether groups of 0.05 or higher, both degrees of substitution being based on one anhydrous glucose unit, in the presence of water, an org. solvent. and a neutralizing agent.</p> |
