PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can concentrate toners efficiently, provide the high jet frequency and form a high density image. SOLUTION: A recording head is provided with a base 2 of insulation properties forming a cavity 4, and a plurality of ink jet lines 8 communicated with the cavity 4 are formed on an upper wall 6 of the base 2. Annular recording electrodes 10 are provided respectively and concentrically with openings 8a of the ink jet lines 8 on an upper face 2a of the base 2. The recording electrodes 10 are provided with openings 10a having the inner diameter larger than the diameter of the openings 8a. When the bias voltage Vb is applied to respective recording electrodes 10, an electric field starting from respective recording electrodes 10 toward a recording medium is formed, and also another electric field starting from respective recording electrodes 10 downward is formed. Ink passing through ink feed lines 8, however, is not affected by the electric field heading downward, and toners are concentrated efficiently close to the tne of an ink meniscus. |
