PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adjustment of quantity of dehydrated cake and thickness of the cake and facilitate cutting of width of the cake so as to smoothly form a dehydrated cake by providing a trough for evening sludge in a flat-plate shape and a vibrating device for continuously transferring the sludge on the trough and providing a plurality of partition members at one end portion of the trough. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a trough 1 and a vibrator 2 and a may be provided with a rotative cutter if required depending on the property of dehydrated cake 3. A bottom face 1a of the trough 1 has a rising inclination ofθwith respect to a horizontal plane along a moving direction of the dehydrated cake. Width of the bottom of the trough is widened from an inlet of the dehydrated cake toward an outlet and so thickness of the dehydrated cake becomes thinner toward the outlet of the trough. A partition groove consisting of a partitioning member 4 for forming the dehydrated cake is provided in the outlet portion of the dehydrated cake of the trough. The dehydrated cake is formed into a square bar shape and is supplied to a drying conveyor 8 in a process where the dehydrated cake is made to fall down.
