PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unusable state over a long time by moving a substrate member, to make an operable heater opposed to a belt, when it is judged that a heater is disabled for the operation owing to disconnection, etc. SOLUTION: When the heater 32 facing the belt 12 is disabled for operation owing to disconnection or a failure, a power unit 54 detects the operation impossible state of the heater 32 and outputs the operation-impossibility detection signal to a controller 56. When this controller 56 receives the operation impossibility detection signal, it is judged whether a motor 14 and a carrying device 50 are under operation or not. When the motor 14 and the carrying device 50 are under the operation, driving is stopped. Thus, the situation where jamming due to the carrying of only a sheet occurs is prevented. Then, a motor 31 is driven to rotate a substrate 26 by 180 deg., to refuge the heater 32 in the operation-impossible state facing the belt 12 therefrom and the other heater 32 is confronted with the belt 12. Then, a fixed current is applied to the heater 32 newly made opposed to the belt 12. |
