PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system wherein secondary sound for negating intake noise is generated by indirectly detecting intake noise using an air flow meter, preventing silencing performance from lowering due to delayed response of the air flow meter. SOLUTION: In accelerating state wherein the varying rate of throttle valve opening degreeΔTVO is larger than a prescribed value (S3), a corrected valueΔϕin phase treatment is set in response to engine rotation speed Ne and accelerationΔNe (N5), so that phase controlling valueϕis determined by correcting basic valueϕ0 using the corrected valueΔϕ(S6). While, in the state with no acceleration, the basic valueϕ0 is directly adopted as phase controlling valueϕ(S4). A speaker is then driven deciding secondary sound by executing phase treatment based on the phase controlling valueϕ(S7, S8).
