PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject solution excellent in solder wettability, properties with the laspe of time an corrosion resistance, comprising an aqueous acrylic resin having an acid value equal to or lower than a specific value. SOLUTION: This aftertreatment solution comprises (A) preferably 100-600g/L of an aqueous acrylic resin having <=150 acid value, (B) 1-30g/L of a rust preventive pigment (preferably one of ammonium chromate, sodium chromate and barium metaborate) and (C) 1-100g/L of a water-soluble rosin. The solution comprises preferable 100-600g/L of the component A, 1-30g/L of the component B, 1-100g/L of the component C and (D) 1-30g/L of a crosslinking agent. Preferably a steel plate is coated with the aftertreatment solution in 0.05-2μm dry thickness.
