摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of preventing the occurrence of retardation of recrystallization in the part 1/8 to 1/4 the plate thickness and also the occurrence of duplex grain structure, in a method of manufacturing a thick steel plate of <=3 reduction ratio by using a continuously cast slab of austenitic stainless steel. SOLUTION: At the time of manufacturing a thick steel plate of <=3 reduction ratio by using a continuously cast slab of austenitic stainless steel, rolling is carried out so that cumulative draft RD (%) at <850 deg.C, with respect to the final plate thickness rolled at >=850 deg.C, exceeds 20%. Subsequently, solution heat treatment is applied at 1000-1150 deg.C. At this time, conditions are set so that the heat treatment time (t) satisfies inequality t(min)>=(791-0.68×T)+(1.09×10<-2> .T-12.7)×RD, where (t) and T represent heat treatment time (min) and heat treatment temp. ( deg.C), respectively.
