PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain lightweight and continuously rollable hydroponic paddy seedlings. SOLUTION: Waste cotton laps 3 floating on water or a culture fluid are used as a raising seedling base material for the hydroponic continuous paddy seedlings. The laps 3 are allowed to float on the fluid in a hydroponic tank 2, and sprouted paddy seeds 4 are sown on the laps 3 followed by circulating water or culture fluid warmed by a heater 8 in a reservoir 1 via a water- permeable film or cloth each spread all over on the bottom grooves of the hydroponic tank 2 and inside the reservoir 1, thus obtaining the objective hydroponic continuous paddy seedlings. Instead of the waste cotton laps 3, a netty cotton nonwoven fabric may be used as the raising seedling base material. |
