PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high ink repellency and to make the performance of a printing plate almost independent of an atmosphere at the time of hardening silicone rubber by forming a silicone rubber layer from a product obtd. by bringing a compd. having H - Si bonds and a compd. having C - C double bonds into addition reaction. SOLUTION: This original plate has a substrate, a photosensitive layer disposed on the substrate and a silicone rubber layer disposed on the photosensitive layer. The silicone rubber layer is made of a product obtd. by bringing a compd. having two or more H - Si bonds in one molecule and a compd. having two or more C - C double bonds in one molecule into addition reaction. The photosensitive layer contains a compd. having a photodimerizable functional group. When a characteristic of the photosensitive layer is varied by exposure, the adhesive strength of the silicone rubber layer to the photosensitive layer or the solubility of the photosensitive layer to a developer is varied and a part of the silicone rubber layer is removed by development by utilizing difference in the adhesive strength or solubility.
