PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain an image without a frame from an original with a frame by calculating an image input timing depending on a selected mode. SOLUTION: The operator sets an original onto an original platen while a double side original is spread and pages desired to be copied are directed upward prior to depression of a print key, and operates a display width change key so as to allow the operator to confirm a position of a frame and its width of the original through visual observation thereby conducting image area display processing. When the operator depresses a mode setting key to generate a copy of the image without a frame from the original with a frame, the kind of the frame shape of the original is discriminated. When the print key is depressed, a tip timing, a tail end timing and magnification arithmetic processing is executed. In this case, the processing corresponding to the processing mode is conducted. Based on the frame width obtained in each processing mode of the SA, the tip timing and the tail end timing are calculated. Based on them, a rotation start period of a resist roller and a lighting start period of a blank lamp are decided and the information is transferred to a controller with magnification data and then copying processing is conducted. |
