The wells in the plates or strips have increased internal surface areas achieved by providing geometric shapes, e.g. teeth or wedge profiles. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test is carried out using ELISA microtitration plates or strips having standard surface dimensions combined with an increased internal surface area and wells with reduced volume in order to reduce the amount of expensive reagent used. At the same time the number of active binding positions on the well inner wall are increased and the average length of the reagent diffusion path is reduced. The increased surface area is achieved by various geometric shapes, e.g. wedge or shape profiles. |
